Nothing has always grabbed eyeballs with its clean aesthetic and cool designs. The company unveiled a new budget variant of the flagship Nothing Phone (2) today, called the Nothing Phone 2a. The first look does show that Nothing has gone with the same clean design albeit with some changes. The smartphone comes at a starting price of ₹23,999. If we are talking about any Nothing smartphone, the first and foremost thing that we have to talk about is its design. The rear panel features the clean and quintessential Nothing aesthetic with a transparent back. You get a dual camera setup right at the middle and the lenses seem like two eyes popping out. Yes, the Nothing Phone (2a) also has the glyph interface and the lights turn out whenever you get any notifications or calls. This is something different that we’ve seen under the sub-25k category.

The Nothing Phone (2a) will run on the Nothing OS 2.5 which is based on Android 14. The Nothing OS 2.5 offers new and updated features which include specialised ones for the Glyph interface. It provides you with a redesigned joint Home and Lock Screen customisation page. You get new customisations, gestures, and an enhanced user experience. There are a lot more features that come along with this OS that will help users get a customised experience.

Lastly, the Nothing Phone (2a) will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset which has been exclusively co-engineered with Nothing to provide users with “seamless performance with remarkable power efficiency,” according to Carl Pei who likes to call himself Carl “Bhai” on X.
