Nokia to launch Superman-themed Lumia 925 smartphone initially in China for $650, will sport a Superman logo on the back panel and might feature a Man of Steel Windows Phone 8 app, apart from exclusive multimedia content.
With the launch of last year’s Batman-themed Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900, Nokia is reportedly set to launch another superhero-branded smartphone. The recently announced Nokia Lumia 925 Superman Limited Edition will be launched in China a day after the movie’s official release on June 14.
The limited edition phone will be available for the first 925 devices produced, featuring a Superman logo on its back. It will also come with a wireless charging cover which will also sport a Superman logo.
The features and specifications of the Nokia Lumia 925 Superman edition will be the same as the usual Nokia Lumia 925, however the smartphone might feature a Man of Steel Windows Phone 8 app, developed exclusively for Nokia’s flagship smartphone. On completion of different challenges, it will unlock exclusive multimedia content, which includes DC Comics digital comic books, ringtones and wallpapers.
The limited edition Lumia 925 smartphone will be available at a price of $650 when it will be launched in China. There’s no information regarding its launch in other markets. It will be surprising to see if the limited edition smartphone doesn’t make it beyond China, as for now, reports say it will only be available for the first 925 devices initially produced.
