Nokia Lumia 625 with 4.7-inch display, dual-core processor in the works
According to a recent report, the next Nokia Lumia Windows 8 Phone will have a 4.7 inch display - the largest seen on a Lumia yet.
Details of the Nokia Lumia 625 have been leaked on the web, and the phone is expected to be released soon. The Lumia 625 has appeared on China’s official government telecoms equipment certifier Tenaa’s website. The phone has a 4.7-inch display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution display and is one of the largest Lumia phones till date.
According to the Verge, the Nokia Lumia 625 is a low-end, entry-level mobile. Nokia is carrying on with the trend of launching more low-end mobiles to gain its market share back. The phone is rumored to be codenamed ‘Max’. The leaked specs reveal that the phone will have a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, with 512MB of RAM, and dual cameras – a 5 MP primary camera and a VGA secondary camera.
The dimensions and weight of the handset has also been revealed, the phone will measure 133.2 x 72.2 x 10.5mm, and weighs in at 161.5 grams. The Nokia Lumia 625 is expected to be released in China shortly for CNY1999 ($325) and will be available in multiple colours. There is no word on the global availability of the phone.
The Lumia 625 is the successor to the Lumia 620, another budget device powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 512MB of RAM. It has a 3.8-inch Clear Black display with 800×480 pixels display resolution. The phone has a 5MP rear camera with 720p HD video recording and has a VGA front-facing camera. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card slot.
