Motorola will finally launch the Moto X4 smartphone in India today. The Lenovo-owned brand will officially launch the device at an event in New Delhi, which is scheduled to start at 2.30PM IST. The company wil also live stream the event on YouTube. The Moto X4 was first announced in September, during IFA 2017 in Berlin, and the company has already stated that the device will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

With the Moto X4, Motorola is resurrecting its Moto X series after a gap of over a year. The smartphone was initially scheduled to launch last month, but the company delayed the launch without offering any reason. Some reports indicated that the cause of this was production delays.

In terms of specifications, the Moto X4 is a mid-range smartphone with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset. It also comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded by up to 256GB via SD card slot. It features a dual-rear camera setup with a 12MP primary lens with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP secondary wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera uses a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a dedicated LED flash.

The Moto X4 comes in two variants: a standard variant running Android 7.1 Nougat with Moto experiences and an Android One variant. The company is expected to launch the standard variant here in India. It supports connectivity options like WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE. The smartphone features a front-mounted fingerprint sensor and is equipped with a 3000mAh battery. The Moto X4 was launched in Black and Blue colours and was priced at €399 (around Rs 30,000) in Europe.
