HIGHLIGHTS

Moto X Pure (2015) was launched globally as Moto X Style, and is getting Android Nougat via an OTA Update

Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition. The company had started soak testing the update last month and is now starting to roll out the update to all devices. The 2015 Moto X Pure Edition was launched in India as Moto X Style, and it is currently the last smartphone in the Moto X series to be launched by the company.

The software is being rolled out in the form of an over-the-air update. User's can also manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > About Phone > System Updates. In a release note, Motorola adds that besides the usual set of new features, the update also brings improvements to Trusted Face feature and default phone app now supports call screening option.

Android Nougat was announced last year at Google's I/O annual developer conference. The updates brings support for split-screen multitasking, redesigned notification system, battery improvements with Doze on the Go mode, quick switching between apps and more. The new version of Android also adds new Data Saver mode, custom quick settings feature and support for new Unicode emoji. This OS is currently being used by nearly 5 percent active Android users.
