Moto G5 and G5 Plus are likely to go on sale immediately after launch

Moto G5 and G5 Plus, the successors to G4 and G4 Plus, are likely to launch at Mobile World Congress later this month. The leaks have already revealed the new design along with specifications. Now, a new rumour shows what the rear panel of the upcoming Moto G5 Plus will look like.

The image posted on China's microblogging platform Weibo shows the casing of the upcoming smartphone. The design is very much in line with what we have seen in the past. It also reveals that Moto G5 Plus will sport Sony IMX362 image sensor with f/1.7 aperture and phase detection autofocus.

To recall, Moto G5 Plus is likely to feature a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution. The device is expected to house a Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. The handset backed by a 3000mAh battery will possibly run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Ahead of the launch, the pricing for Moto G5 has been leaked. As per the leak, the European variant of the phone will cost around €189 (Rs 13,475) for the 2GB RAM variant while 3GB RAM variant will cost €209 (Rs 14,901). In fact, the pricing is cheaper than the launch price of last year's Moto G4.

The Moto G5 has already cleared the US FCC, while the G5 Plus has been subject to many leaks. The smartphones will launch at MWC 2017 on February 26 and will go on sale immediately after the launch.
