Moto G5 listing confirms support for NFC ahead of MWC 2017 launch on February 26

Motorola Moto G5 and G5 Plus are expected to be launched at next month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Moto G5 Plus has been teased in the form of renders in the past and now Moto G5 has appeared in FCC listing for certification.

The Moto G5 certification spotted on FCC listing confirms the smartphone will come with a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone also supports turbo charging with an output of 14.4W at 9V/1.6A or 12V/1.2A. The in-box elements confirm that Motorola will include a 1-meter long charging cable with the smartphone.

According to the listing spotted by Moto-centric blog motog3.com, the smartphone is also getting NFC support. This could be the first major change apart from adoption of metal unibody design revealed by previous leaks. The listing also confirms addition of a DTV dongle which can be used as a TV tuner.

Other specifications include a 5.5-inch full HD display, 16GB storage, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The smartphone is likely to be a big departure in terms of design and we will know more about the device at MWC on February 26.
