Microsoft trolls Samsung’s Terminal Galaxy S5 promotion
HIGHLIGHTS

Microsoft's Lumianauts make fun of Samsung's Terminal Galaxy S5 campaign.

Microsoft, which earlier was the most prominent advertiser at London’s Heathrow terminal 5, refused to hand over the crown gracefully to Samsung and trolled the electronic giants Terminal Galaxy S5 promotion.

Samsung recently renamed its Heathrow’s Terminal 5 to Terminal Galaxy S5 as a part of a their two week promotion for its Samsung Galaxy S5. The electronics giant took charge of 172 digital signs and places images of the S5 everywhere across the terminal. Samsung also has Galaxy S5 smartphones available for customers to try out at Dixons Travel stores located within the terminal.

Microsoft sent four “Lumianauts” in search of “the Galaxy” inside Heathrow’s Terminal 5. The Lumia-nauts posed for a few pictures in their spacesuits emblazoned with the Lumia Space Cadets logo and the American flag. They ‘bowed their heads in disappointment and rang HQ, “Microsoft…we have a problem.” Describing their apparent disappointment at not finding anything exciting at the terminal and finding that the Terminal Galaxy S5 was rather just a marketing campaign by Samsung, Microsoft’s Lumianauts concluded that at least “the Lumia we have in our pockets is always out of this world.” Nokia has also posted a video to their Vine feed showing the Lumia-Nauts entering ‘Terminal Galaxy S5′.

Microsoft has been known to make funny and good natured campaigns against its competitors. It also ran the ill-fated Scroogled campaign against Google, for which the company received a lot of negative feedback. Microsoft also posted a new commercial on Lumia 920 that shows the rivalry between Samsung and Apple and ends with a logo ‘Switch to Lumia”.
