Microsoft reportedly paying Sony, Samsung and Huawei to make WP8 handsets
According to the famous tipster Eldar Murtazin, Microsoft will be paying Sony, Samsung, Huawei and other vendors to make Windows Phone smartphones
Microsoft has already gobbled up Nokia in a hope to boost the Windows Phone platform globally. While last month we heard rumours that Microsoft might be paying Sony and Samsung to make Windows Phone handsets, today we got some news from famous tipster, Eldar Murtazin, that the rumours just might be true.
He confirms that Samsung has already taken the deal and will be paid $1.2 billion to make Windows Phone 8 handsets. This seems to be more than what we heard last month ($1 Billion). Apart from Samsung, there are other handset makers that have joined the WP bandwagon. Sony has also been asked and offered $500 million and Chinese handset maker Huawei has been offered $600 million. A final sum of $300 million has been offer to other companies which were not disclosed. We presume that HTC is included in the last section, if not then it could be more worries for the Taiwanese smartphone maker.

Hopefully, we will see new manufacturers launching WP handsets this year. But could they pose a threat to the already established Lumia brand by Nokia?
