Set to compete against the Samsung Galaxy Music, Micromax's new Canvas Music A88 comes with a 4.5-inch capacitive touch display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
Expanding its Canvas line up, Micromax has launched the Canvas Music A88. As the name of the device suggests, the phone is aimed at the music enthusiasts and comes with JBL Tempo headset. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,499.
The Micromax Canvas Music A88 supports dual-SIM (GSM GSM) and features a 4.5-inch capacitive touch display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution. The smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor.
The Canvas Music A88 sports 5MP autofocus camera with dual-LED flash and 0.3MP front-facing camera. The smartphone has 512MB of RAM, 4GB built-in storage, expandable storage capacity up to 32GB via microSD.
For connectivity, the Canvas Music A88 supports 3G,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. It comes with an 1,800 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 5 hours of talk time and 260 hours of standby time.

Micromax’s latest Canvas Music A88 will compete against Samsung’s music-centric smartphone – Galaxy Music Duos, which is available online for around Rs. 6,499.
The Galaxy Music Duos, however, features a smaller 3-inch screen, dual-SIM (GSM GSM), Android 4.0 ICS, 3MP camera and 1300mAh battery.
