Micromax Canvas Unite 3 officially launched

Micromax Canvas Unite 3 launched, features Android 5.0, quad core processor and support for 10 regional languages.

Micromax has officially announced the Canvas Unite 3 smartphone in India for Rs 6,569. The handset comes with a Unite Messaging Service that allows users to translate and transliterate text in any language with the company’s patented ‘Swipe’ feature. The Canvas Unite 3 is already available on ecommerce site Infibeam.com.

The Micromax Canvas Unite 3 has a 4.7 inch IPS display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor with 1 GB RAM. The handset comes with 8 GB of built-in storage expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card slot. The Canvas Unite 3 has an 8 MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2 MP front camera for video calling. Connectivity options included in the Canvas Unite 3 are dual-SIM support, 3G WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is backed by a 2000 mAh battery that according to company claims offer 8 hours of talk time and 220 hours of standby. The Micromax Unite 3 is available in White and Blue colours.

It comes pre-loaded with support for 10 regional (Indian) languages plus English. The handset has a new feature that lets users translate a message from English to any language of their choice and vice versa. Users can also type, chat or change the menu of their phone in their preferred language. The ‘Swipe’ feature of the smartphone is powered by Firstouch which uses the patented Regional Keyboard with Matra and Word prediction. It also has an App bazaar in regional languages which enables the consumers to download more than 10,000 applications in their preferred regional languages and an intuitive Menu in regional languages with sound assistance and more.

The Micromax Canvas Unite 3 is the successor to the company’s most successful handset the Micromax Unite 2 launched last year. The company claims that the Unite 2 is among 5 best selling phones in the Indian market with over 1.5 million units sold since its launch.

Micromax has also quietly launched the fourth handset in its Canvas Doodle series called the Canvas Doodle 4 for Rs 9,499 earlier this week. The smartphone has a 6-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and comes with a stylus similar to its predecessors. It has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB inbuilt expandable via microSD card slot. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and has an 8 MP rear camera as well as a 2 MP front-facing camera. It comes with Dual-SIM with dual standby, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS support. The Canvas Doodle 4 packs a 3000mAh battery.
