Following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, it is now LG’s turn to launch its flagship, the G6 in India do the same. Priced at Rs. 51,990, the device will be available from tomorrow via Amazon. Those who order the smartphone on the first day will get Rs. 10,000 cashback when they purchase from Amazon using HDFC or SBI cards. Further, buyers will get 100GB free data with Reliance Jio till March next year and 10GB extra data with every recharge on Jio. The company also launched its sports Bluetooth headset, the Tone Active+ at Rs. 9,990. The headset is able to track distance and is water resistance as well. Those who purchase the LG G6, will get 50% off on the price.

The LG G6 was first unveiled at  MWC 2017, sports a 5.7-inch QHD+ Fullvison display, which offers a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. LG notes that the 5.7-inch display is housed in the body of a 5.2-inch smartphone, making it easier to use with one hand. The display also sports an aspect ratio of 18:9, which makes the display longer and narrower. Further, the smartphone comes with support for Dolby Vision HDR format, as well as HDR 10. 

Instead of using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 platform, LG has opted to use the Snapdragon 821 platform with 4GB of RAM. The device offers 64GB of inbuilt storage and is equipped with a 3300mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The G6 comes with the company’s UX 6.0, which is based on Android Nougat v7.1. At the back of the device is a dual-rear camera setup consisting of two 13MP sensors with a 125 degree wide-angle lens. At the front is a 5MP camera with a 100 degree field of view. 

Like its competitors, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the LG G6 is also IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. The company says that the phone can be submerged underwater for 30 minutes at depths of up to 1.5 meters. It is also one of the first smartphones to come with Google Assistant pre-installed.
