Leaks, rumours as well as official information about the LG G6 keeps pouring in each day. The latest bit of official information suggests that both the rear as well as the front facing camera will have a wide angle lens. The rear of the LG G6 will have a dual-camera setup. The resolution of the front facing camera hasn’t been revealed yet, but it will have a 100-degrees field of view.

The rear of the LG G6 will have a dual 13MP camera setup. The wide angle camera of the two will have a 125-degree field of view. The dual-camera setup will come with a bunch of shooting modes including, 18:9, which will exploit the 5.7-inch (2,880×1,400 pixel resolution) 18:9 display on the smartphone, 1:1 which is essentially square mode. LG says that the 1:1 mode will be perfect for Instagram posts, panorama, food mode, and more.

Exploiting the 18:9 display, users will be able to see the recently shot photos without delving into the photos app.

LG says that the rear camera’s 125-degree field of view is close to what the human eye sees. This means that users will be able to capture almost everything that they see with the naked eye in a single shot.

Coming to the hardware it is speculated that the LG G6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC.

All rumours, speculations will be put to rest when LG announces the smartphone this coming Sunday at MWC 2017 in Barcelona.
