LG G4c, G4 Stylus smartphones launched

LG has launched two new variants of its flagship G4 smartphone, the G4c and G4 Stylus. The company stated that both the devices will be launched globally soon.

The LG G4 Stylus will be launched as LG G Stylo in select markets including North America and Korea. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch display and comes with a rubberdium stylus. It has a 5.7-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card slot. Connectivity options included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, A-GPS and micro-USB support. The G4 Stylus will be available in both LTE and 3G variants. The LTE model will have a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and a 13 MP rear camera while the 3G variant will feature 1.4GHz octa-core processor and an 8 MP rear camera. Both the variants will have a 5 MP front camera. The LG G4 Stylus will pack a 3000mAh battery.

The G4c has a 5-inch display and LG says comes with "features and styling in a more compact form factor". The smartphone has a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable ROM. The smartphone will have an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The smartphone will be backed by a 2540mAh battery. Connectivity options included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, A-GPS and LTE support. It will be available in Metallic Grey, Ceramic White, and Shiny Gold colours.

LG announced that both the devices will run a UI derived from the 2015 flagship LG G4 smartphone. The UI will have features like Knock Code, which allows users to unlock the phone by tapping a personalised 'knock' pattern on the display, Gesture Shot, which allows the camera to open and close a hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown for the shutter; and Glance View, which shows key notifications on the display when it is turned off. Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company stated: “The G4 Stylus and G4c are perfect examples of what we mean by a premium smartphone experience without a premium price. We are committed to offering consumers in fast-growing markets LG devices that not only deliver performance, but also look good while doing so. Both the G4 Stylus and G4c will surpass customers’ expectations of what an LG phone should be.”
