LG announces Wine Smart Flip smartphone

LG Wine Smart Flip smartphone launched, features Android 4.4 and SafeKeeper function.

LG has announced the LG Wine Smart Flip mid-range smartphone targeted towards elderly users. The smartphone would be launched in South Korea on September 26th, though no word has been given about the availability of the device outside South Korea.

The LG Wine Smart Flip comes with a "Safe Keeper" feature that automatically sends information like location to people assigned by the user when the handset is unused for a period of time. It has a 3.5-inch IPS touchscreen with 320 x 480 (HVGA) pixels resolution. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.

The Wine Smart Flip has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card slot. The LG smartphone has an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options included in the smartphone are LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and FM radio. It is backed by a 1700mAh removable battery. The LG Wine Smart will be available in black and white colors.

LG recently announced the LG G3 beat, L Bello and L Fino mid-range smartphones with elements of its flagship G3. LG says that the device “are powerful alternatives to higher priced smartphones, perfect for teenagers and first-time smartphone owners in emerging 3G markets. ” All the three phones are based on Android 4.4 and have quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The LG G3 Beat has been launched in India for Rs 25,000 while the price and availablity of the L Bello and L Fino has not been revealed yet.
