OnePlus 3T has a new competitor in town and its called ZUK Edge

Lenovo has finally announced ZUK Edge, its first smartphone with Snapdragon 821 processor and nearly bezel less design. The smartphone comes in multiple variants and the device can be bought in black or white colour variants.

Lenovo ZUK Edge features a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. Lenovo claims the display offers a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and 85 percent NTSC colour gamut. The front also houses a home button which doubles up as fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, Lenovo ZUK Edge is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and comes with option of 4 or 6GB RAM.

On the camera front, Lenovo ZUK Edge sports a 13MP main camera with phase detection autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and 1.34 micron pixel size. It is not clear whether the sensor is optically stabilised but there is LED flash and a heart sensor tucked next to the camera. As far as selfies are concerned, there is an 8MP camera at the front.

Lenovo ZUK Edge measures 7.68mm at its thickest point and weighs around 160 grams. The smartphone comes with 3.5mm audio jack and supports Dirac HD sound for Hi-Fi audio. Lenovo ZUK Edge supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB Type-C port.

Lenovo ZUK Edge is backed by a 3100mAh battery and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is a bummer in my opinion. The smartphone supports Quick Charge 3.0 and will be priced at 2,299 Yuan (approximately Rs 23,000) and 2499 Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000) respectively for the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

At that pricing, Lenovo ZUK Edge is now officially the cheapest smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. The smartphone is in fact priced cheaper than OnePlus 3T and is expected to hit the market from January 1.
