Leaked Nexus 5 log file reveals Miracast, wireless charging and multiple themes
HIGHLIGHTS

Latest Nexus 5 log file leaks indicate wireless charging and Miracast support.

New details about Google’s next Nexus smartphone, dubbed Nexus 5, have emerged on the web. According to a leaked log file, the Nexus 5 will come with wireless charging and Miracast, a mirroring technology that allows users to wirelessly transfer videos to or from desktops, tablets, mobile phones, and other devices.

The leaked log, released by MyCE, also sheds light on the much-awaited next Android version, KitKat. The log hints at a range of new themes that could be part of Android 4.4. It also has a reference to a theme that still features a Key Lime Pie icon in some cases.

MyCE has also posted alleged screenshots that suggest multiple coloured icons (blue and gray) in the notification bar. The mention of “theme” suggests Android 4.4 KitKat might allow users to customise colour scheme.

The log corroborates recent leaked specification information – 5-inch full HD display with 442 ppi, 2.3 Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front facing camera and
NFC capability.

New details about the Nexus 5 come shortly after a Ukrainian operator claimed the next Nexus smartphone will have a nano-SIM slot, similar to the iPhone 5, the newer iPhones and even the Moto X.

So far, there’s no word on the availability of the new Nexus phone. However, recent spate of Nexus 5 leaks certainly assures an inevitable reveal in the near future.
