LAVA launches Iris 406Q at a price of Rs 7,499
The smartphone features a quad-core Snapdragon processor and LAVA promises an Android KitKat update soon.
Indian mobile phone manufacturer, LAVA, has announced a new budget smartphone called the Iris 406Q priced at Rs 7,400. The smartphone features powerful specs for its price.
Iris 406Q comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon Processor with Adreno 302 GPU. It features 1GB of RAM and 4GB of Internal Storage which is expandable upto 32GB via the MicroSD card slot. The smartphone comes with a 4-inch IPS display sporting a resolution of 480×800 (WVGA) pixels. The phone also comes with dual-SIM support and is capable of 1080p video-playback.
The Iris 406Q will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and LAVA guarantees an Android 4.4 KitKat update later. The front sports a 0.3MP camera while the rear camera is a 5MP shooter. The rear camera features Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL), HDR and noise reduction.
The smartphone will come equipped with an Audio Plus software. LAVA claims that it will provide users with high-end surround sound, 3D audio and wider bass on headphones. It will also feature a unique and special IML(in-mold labeling) back cover which is claimed to make the handset highly scratch-resistant.
Iris 406Q comes with a 1700mAh battery and comes with an in-built Battery Guru app which learns user’s usage patterns and helps conserve battery. The smartphone is available in black and white colors and is available for pre-order on Flipkart. The ecommerce site will exclusively sell the phone for the first month before it hits the stores later. Currently, Iris 406Q is available for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs 6,999 only.
