Lava launches Iris Pro 30, features a 4.7-inch 720p display, quad-core CPU processor and Android 4.2 OS.

Lava has launched its Iris Pro 30 in India for Rs 15,999. The smartphone will be available from the third week of January across electronic and physical stores. The much-awaited Iris Pro 30 will compete against the likes of Micromax Canvas Turbo and the much-awaited Moto G.

The Iris Pro 30 has a 4.7-inch display with 720p resolution using Sharp display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and runs Android 4.2 out of the box. It has an 8 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a BSI sensor. It has a 3 MP front camera for video calling.

Connectivity wise, the smartphone comes with USB on-the-go support, Bluetooth 3G (HSPA ), Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Iris Pro 30 packs a 2,000 mAh battery with CABC (Content Adaptive Backlight Control) that according to company claims delivers up to 4.5 hours of talk time, and 400 hours of standby time. Lava has added some popular features to the device including flip-to-mute, video PIP, voice and face recognition to unlock the model.
