Lava launches the budget Iris 456 smartphone for Rs 7,888, boasts of Android 4.2, dual-core processor and dual-cameras.

The Lava Iris 456 is available online for Rs. 7,888. The new Lava smartphone features a 4.5-inch display, dual-SIM and Android 4.2 OS.

The Lava Iris 456 has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor along with 512MB of RAM. The Iris 456 comes with 4 GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The smartphone has a 5MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash, face detection, burst mode, vertical Panorama, HDR mode and a BSI sensor. It also has a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (GSM GSM), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, Micro-USB and 3G connectivity options. It is available in Black color.

Lava has recently launched the Iris 506Q and Iris 505 phablets for Rs 11,700 and Rs 8,999 respectively in India. Both the smartphones have large 5 inch display screens and offer dual-sim (GSM GSM) with dual-standby support. The Iris 506Q and Iris 505 smartphones have powerful 1.2GHz dual-core processors and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The phablets have 512MB of RAM and come with 4GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. On the connectivity front both the smartphone offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G support. The smartphones have 5MP rear cameras and 1.3MP rear cameras for video calling. They are packed with 2000mAh battery that delivers 6 hours of talktime according to company claims.
