While the market for the mid-range and high-end smartphones is growing, budget segment is also flourishing. Latest to join the entry-level smartphone segment is Lava's Iris 408e.
Lava has added another entry-level smartphone to its Iris line up. Called the Iris 408e, the new Lava smartphone is available online for Rs. 3,829.
The Lava Iris 408e supports dual-SIM, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 1GHz processor along with 256 MB of RAM. The smartphone has a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution.
It comes with 3MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera. The Iris 408e has 512MB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. For connectivity, the smartphone supports GPRS, Bluetooth and USB. It is powered by a 1,500 mAh battery.
Lava’s new smartphone will compete with a range of sub-5k Android smartphones available in the market right now. Earlier this week, Intex launched the Cloud X12, featuring a 3.5-inch display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 2MP rear camera and 3G support. The smartphone is available online for Rs. 4,290.
