Lava has launched the new 402+smartphone for the budget consumers, boasts of 3G connectivity and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Lava launches the 3G 402 , an upgrade over its 402 android smartphone launched earlier this year.

The Lava 3G 402 smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM. It has a 4.0 inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It has 4GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The 3G 402 has a 3MP rear camera with flash and a VGA front camera for video calling. Connectivity wise the smartphone offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. The Lava 3G 402 supports a 1500mAh battery that delivers up to 4 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby time according to company claims.

Lava has also added unique applications such as ‘Shake to connect’ feature that lets users accept incoming calls by shaking their smartphone. It also has a ‘Keyboard magnifier’ for easier editing. The Lava 3G 402 budget smartphone is available in Metallic Brown, Metallic Grey and Ivory White colour variants.

Lava had recently launched the Iris 506q and 505 phablets for Rs 11,700 and Rs 8,999 respectively. Both the devices supports large 5 inch display screen, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphones feature 5MP rear cameras with LED flash and a VGA front cameras for video calling.
