Karbonn Titanium S99 is aimed at consumers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Karbonn Mobiles has introduced a new entry-level smartphone – Karbonn Titanium S99. Priced at Rs. 5,990, the new Karbonn smartphone supports dual-SIM, runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 512MB of RAM.

The new Karbonn Titanium S99 has a 4-inch IPS display. It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with 4GB internal memory, expandabl up to 32GB via microSD.

For connectivity, the Titanium S99 supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and supports dual-SIM. It is powered by a 1,400 mAh battery. The smartphone is available in white and black colour options along with an additional protective silicon case.

According to Karbonn, the new smartphone is aimed at consumers in Tier II & III cities.

In addition, Android KitKat includes a variety of new features like Smarter Caller ID, faster multitasking, low-power location monitoring, redesigned downloads app and easy home screen switching to name a few. The combination of these extraordinary features make KitKat a solid addition to the Android family”, says Mr. Shashin Devsare, Executive Director of Karbonn in release.

Post Motorola's Moto E launch in India, competition in the low-cost smartphone segment has intensified.
