iPhone 17, 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max leaks: Display, camera, design, price and more

Apple is preparing for its upcoming major launch event, which is anticipated to happen in September. The tech giant will introduce its upcoming smartphone lineup, the iPhone 17 series, which has seen some major changes in recent years. Months before their official release, the phones have already made headlines. Apple is anticipated to provide a number of remarkable features, including a new, thinner iPhone 17 Air model, a redesigned camera island, a 120Hz refresh rate display throughout the lineup, and more.

iPhone 17, 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max design (expected)  

While the standard iPhone 17 is speculated to retain much of the iPhone 16’s design, including the USB-C port and Action Button, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to get a revamped rear camera module. The Pro models are said to feature a new Pixel-like rectangular camera module that spans the back.

However, the most interesting and hyped addition would be the new iPhone 17 Air, which may replace the Plus model. Rumoured to be Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever, it is claimed to be 2mm slimmer than the iPhone 16 Pro.

The Pro Max is likely to retain a 6.9-inch display. Meanwhile, the regular iPhone 17 is expected to receive a size bump from 6.1 to 6.3 inches. Additionally, the tech giant is also likely to introduce the much-awaited 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate across the lineup. The devices may also get an improved anti-reflective screen coating. Notably, the new Air model is expected to feature a large 6.6-inch screen. 

iPhone 17, 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max specifications (expected) 

In terms of specifications, the standard iPhone models may be backed by Apple’s A19 chipset, whereas the Pro models could feature the A19 Pro chip under the hood.

As for the camera, the handsets are likely to receive an upgrade to a 24MP selfie camera on the back; however, the non-Pro models will retain the same dual camera setup on the back.  The Pro models are likely to arrive with a triple 48MP camera setup comprising a wide, an ultra-wide, and a telephoto sensor. Other expected camera features include 8K video recording and dual video mode.

iPhone 17, 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max price (expected)

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to be priced at around Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,59,900, respectively. However, the standard iPhone 17 series is likely to start at around Rs 89,900, in India.
