With the rollout of iOS 18.3, Apple completes the first phase of its Apple Intelligence rollout.
Apple has rolled out visual intelligence with iOS 18.3.
However, this new update will arrive in India by April.
Apple launched Apple Intelligence during its iPhone 16 launch event. Ever since then, Apple Intelligence features have been rolled out to users in phases. Now, the company has started to roll out an iOS 18.3 update for eligible iPhones. This update brings along new AI features. Firstly, with this update, the AI features will now be automatically activated on a user’s device. There is no need to manually update it, like with the previous updates. This move aims to make Apple Intelligence more accessible, especially for users less familiar with advanced tech settings.
With the rollout of iOS 18.3, Apple completes the first phase of its Apple Intelligence rollout. Now, your iPhones include features like:
- Visual Intelligence: Functions like an advanced version of Google Lens, enabling users to point their camera at an object and ask questions about it.
- Notification Summaries: Offers concise updates from apps
- Writing Tools: Helps users proofread and rewrite text.
- Image Playground: Allows users to create custom images using simple text prompts.
- ChatGPT-Powered Siri: Delivers advanced search results and simplifies complex topics.
In addition to iPhones, Apple Intelligence features have also been rolled out for iPads and Macs through the iPadOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3 updates. However, the Visual Intelligence feature remains exclusive to the iPhone 16 series.
However, most of these features are not available in India as most of the Apple Intelligence features are limited to certain regions and specific languages. Apple had previously announced that Indian English support could roll out by 2025.
But I have a hack for you, if you wish to use the Apple Intelligence features in India. Then you can simply go to the Settings menu and choose US English as your language. You will then be able to access all the AI features.
