Intex Technologies has launched a 5-inch Android-based smartphone/phablet, called the Intex Aqua 5.0. Priced at Rs. 9,990, the Intex Aqua 5.0 supports dual-SIM (GSM GSM) and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor.
The Intex Aqua 5.0, dubbed as the successor to the recently launched Aqua 4.0, runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It has a 5-inch capacitive multi-touch display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. There’s a 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.
The Aqua 5.0 has 512MB RAM, 4GB built-in storage and up to 32GB expandable storage via microSD. The device supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio. It comes with a 2,000 mAh battery.
The device comes preloaded with various applications such as Flipkart, India Rail, Nimbuzz, Skype and YouTube. It is equipped with Gravity, Light and Proximity sensors and supports Auto Call Recording feature. The device is available in three colours – silver, blue and black
As an introductory offer, Intex is giving a back pack worth Rs. 700, 4GB memory card and NQ antivirus free with the Aqua 5.0.
The Intex Aqua 5.0 will compete with a range of budget phablets such as iBall Andi 5c, Spice Stellar Horizon, Zync Cloud Z5 and the Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2.
