Idea Cellular, Aircel and Tata Dcomo announce bundle plans for BlackBerry Z10

BlackBerry Z10 can be used with any Internet plan but users have options of special plans from Idea Cellular, Aircel and Tata Dcomo.

Telecom operators Idea Cellular, Aircel and Tata Docomo have announced special bundle plans for the newly launched BlackBerry Z10.

First up is Tata Docomo, the operator is offering an ‘unlimited’ 899 plan, which includes unlimited mobile Internet and unlimited local calls on any network or landline numbers across the country at a fixed monthly rental of Rs. 899.

“We believe that smartphones are gradually becoming a necessity for all whether it is one’s personal or professional life. At Tata DoCoMo, we have always been pioneers in bringing innovation to the telecom realm and our customers. We are delighted that we are partnering with BlackBerry to bring world’s latest smartphones like the BlackBerry Z10 to India,” Gurinder Singh Sandhu, Head-Marketing, Tata DoCoMo is quoted as saying.

“We are pleased to work with Tata DoCoMo to bring customers in India the powerful new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. Backed by Tata DoCoMo’s network and service plans, BlackBerry Z10 customers will be delighted with a re-invented communication experience, seamless multitasking, and easy access to multiple social networks,” says Sunil Dutt, Managing Director for India at BlackBerry.

Unlike Docomo, Aircel hasn’t announced any unlimited plan for the Z10 customers. Aircel is instead offering an ‘integrated’ plan, which includes 1GB data, 250 Aircel-to-Aircel and 250 minutes voice for three months at a charge of Rs. 153.

Idea Cellular says it will “a smarter experience along with compelling 3G plans for customers backed by its gold standard 3G network”. However, it didn’t reveal further details about the plans.

Other top telecom operators such as Airtel and Vodafone haven’t yet announced their bundle plans for the Z10.

According to a Business Today report, customers BlackBerry’s new flagship smartphone does not need to subscribe to a BlackBerry-specific data plan for BBM or e-mails. Users can choose a regular Internet plan for their respective operators. However, users have still the option to use the existing data plans offered by operators with the Z10.
