The Xiaomi Mi5 will be launched in India well into the year, said Xiaomi, VP, Hugo Barra. Having said that, when asked about the launch dates for the device, which was just launched at MWC 2016, Barra said that the company may consider an April launch date if there is substantial demand for the device. Barra also confirmed that the Android Marshmallow update is coming to other Mi devices that have been sold in India. The Xiaomi Mi5 is scheduled to be launched in China on March 1. However, Barra said that they may launch the phone in April if too many people ask for the device. He also said that Xiaomi may make a VR related announcement possibly sometime next year.
