HTC has launched its new flagship One M8 and two Desire smartphones in India

HTC has officially introduced its latest flagship smartphone, HTC One (M8), in India. The smartphone will be available from the first week of May for Rs. 49,990.

The company has also introduced its two new Desire smartphones – Desire 210 and Desire 816priced at Rs. 8,700 and Rs. 23,990 respectively. The Desire 210 will be available from next month as well. Details about the availability Desire 816 haven’t been announced yet, though it is expected to be release soon.

First up is the HTC One M8. The new HTC flagship boasts of several new features such as Smart Sensor Hub, Motion Launch and improved HTC BoomSound. The HTC One M8 also has the much-hyped dual-camera set up.

The HTC One M8 features a 5-inch full HD display. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 on top. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5 GHz quad-core Krait CPUs and 2GB of RAM. It measures 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35 mm.

On the rear, the smartphone has the new UltraPixel Duo camera featuring BSI sensor, pixel size 2.0 um, sensor size 1/3”, f/2.0, 28mm lens, HTC ImageChip 2 and 1080p Full HD video recording with HDR video. The camera also features Slow Motion mode, which lets users shoot HD slo-mo videos. There’s also a 5MP front camera with BSI sensor, wide angle lens, with HDR capability and 1080p Full HD video recording.

The smartphone has 16GB and 32GB storage versions, while the expansion card slot supports microSD memory card for up to 128GB additional storage.

For connectivity, the HTC One M8 supports 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX enabled, Wi-Fi, HTC Connect, micro-USB 2.0, 2G, 3G and 4G LTE (in select countries). A 2600 mAh battery powers the smartphone and is rated to deliver talk time up to 20 hours for 3G.

Other important features of the smartphone include improved HTC BoomSound, BlinkFeed, Fitbit app, Sense TV, Motion Launch and Auto Answer.

HTC Desire 210

The Desire 210 has a 4-inch WVGA screen. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor along with 512MB of RAM. It supports dual SIM (micro SIM regular SIM).

The smartphone features a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The smartphone is powered by a 1,300 mAh battery. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,700.

HTC Desire 816

The HTC Desire 816 has a 5.5-inch 720p display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1.5GB of RAM.

The Desire 816 has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2, BSI sensor, 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities, and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone has 8GB of built-in storage and supports microSD slot for extra space. For connectivity, the Desire 816 supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA /4G LTE. Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct.

The smartphone also has HTC’s dual-frontal speakers and HTC BoomSound. The smartphone is powered by a 2,600 mAh battery.

The smartphone is priced at Rs. 23,990.
