Honor 8X with Kirin 710 SoC, 6.5-inch full-HD+ display launched in India starting at Rs 14,999
The Honor 8X features a vertically stacked 20MP + 2MP dual camera setup and sports a dual-textured glass rear panel.
Following the timeline it had previously shared, Honor has launched the Honor 8X in India at an event today. The smartphone was revealed globally at an event in Dubai on October 3. It features an all-glass rear panel with a vertically stacked dual-rear camera setup. It features a 6.5-inch notched screen with a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio and it comes with a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. The company has emphasised on the dual-textured design of the rear panel as well.
Honor 8X specifications
As mentioned above, the Honor 8X sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ TFT IPS notched display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The company says it is also TUV Rheinland Certified for eye protection and care. The smartphone is powered by an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC and comes with the company’s GPU Turbo tech that is said to deliver a boost in performance while reducing the battery consumption. The handset comes in two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage and another with 6GB RAM, coupled with options to select from either 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage. It runs on EMUI 8.2.0 OS atop Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3750mAh battery, which can be charged via the micro-USB port.
Coming to the optics, the Honor 8X comes equipped with a dual camera with the primary camera featuring a 20MP sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. There’s also an LED flash on the back and the phone can use scenario detection to recognise over 500 scenes. The handset supports capturing slow-motion videos at 120 fps and 480 fps with output at 720p. On the front, it sports a 16MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture lens. It also retains the 3.5mm audio jack.
Honor 8X Price
The Honor 8X is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version and its 6GB RAM model with 64GB or 128GB of storage will cost Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively. It comes in Black, Blue and Red colour variants. The phone will go up on sale via Amazon from October 24.
