Google has started rolling out the 'Trusted Voice' smart lock feature that allows users to unlock devices with their voice to Android 5.0 Lollipop users. The feature will be rolled out to users over the next few weeks.

Google had launched the trusted voice feature with Google Play Services 7.0 last month and now multiple users have confirmed that the feature is visible. The "Trusted Voice" smart lock bypassing the lock screen based on how users say "OK Google." Users can enable the Trusted Voice feature in the settings menu, tap on security and then Smart lock which will take users to Google app settings.

When you enable the feature, a pop-up warns that the "Trusted Voice" feature is not as secure as a traditional lock screen with a pin, password or pattern and that "Someone with a similar voice or a recording of your voice could unlock your device."

Google has been pushing voice commands as a core part of Android and has launched its latest Nexus 6 with always-on voice recognition. The internet giant has been rolling out new smart locks with the Android Lollipop update. Apart from Trusted Face and Trusted devices, it has launched Trusted Places, which bypasses the lock screen when the user is at designated places like home or work, and more recently, the Google introduced the "On-body detection," feature which uses your smartphones accelerometer to unlock the screen when its in the users pocket or hand but locks it automatically they place it on a table.
