Following last year’s trend, Google will reportedly host its next Made by Google event in August 2025, introducing the Pixel 10 series. The smartphone lineup will likely comprise four models, including a Pixel 10 Pro and the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While we have yet to get any official details on the upcoming smartphones, rumours have suggested some significant upgrades over last year’s Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 10 Pro is said to get an edge in terms of display brightness, charging capability and processor.

Starting with the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro, the smartphone got some significant design overhaul last year. It shrank in size to make space for the Pixel 9 XL. The device carried a compact form factor of a 6.3-inch flat display with a matte finish on the back and a slightly twisted rear camera module over the Pixel 8 Pro. This year, the Pixel 10 Pro is expected to retain the design with some minor tweaks, including a glossy finish on the back and the new Gorilla Glass Ceramic-protected display. Apart from these, the phone is also expected to get slightly thicker by around 1mm.

This year, Google is expected to bring a small yet significant upgrade to the Pixel 10 Pro, which has been pending for years. The processor is where the Pixel 10 Pro may outshine last year’s Pixel 9 Pro. The upcoming smartphone will reportedly be backed by a Tensor G5 based on TSMC’s 3nm processor, which is said to be more efficient than last year’s Tensor G4. So, we could expect to see some significant performance improvement on the Pixel 10 Pro. However, the RAM is expected to remain same 16GB as its Pixel 9 Pro.

While Pixel 10 Pro is likely to pack the same 4,700mAh battery as the Pixel 9 Pro, it might get some charging capability improvements. The handset is expected to get a 45W charging support, whereas the Pixel 9 Pro comes with 27W charging capability.
