Gionee unveils quad-core 5.3-inch GPad-G2 Android phablet, due in May
Gionee GPad-G2 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone revealed, to be launched in the 1st week of May.
Gionee has revealed its latest Android phablet – the G Pad-G2, which the company claims is its tenth product launch in the past 75 days. The phablet is scheduled to hit store shelves in the first week of May. Pricing will be revealed next week by the company.
The Gionee GPad-G2 has a 5.3-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) True Color display and a multitouch interface. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and PowerVR Series5XT GPU, coupled with 1GB of RAM (the popular MediaTek MT6589 chipset used on most budget quad-core smartphones in the country today).
The GPad-G2 is a dual-SIM dual-standby smartphone. It features an 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, with face detection and 720p video recording features. It has a front 2MP camera as well for video calling. Connectivity options include 3G capability, USB, Bluetooth and GPRS making it ideal for frequent travelers who need to stay connected with their home and work place.
Gionee's new GPad-G2 phablet has a powerful 3000 mAh battery and is equipped with an in-built Digital Theatre System (DTS) Sound for an enhanced multimedia experience. It comes with bundled 16GB memory card along with 4 GB inbuilt memory. Gionee has also preloaded popular apps and games in the device like Facebook, You Tube, NQ Security, You Tube, Twitter and much more.
The phablet will be available in grey and white colors. The company is offering the GPad-G2 with a navigation flip leather case as well as a screen guard.
