Gionee Elife E7, 5.5-inch quad-core phablet unveiled; coming to India in Jan

Gionee has launched its latest flagship phablet called the 'Elife E7', features a 16 megapixel camera along with a 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3.

At an event in Shanghai, Gionee has launched its latest flagship smartphone called the Elife E7. It will be available in two variants – 16GB and 32 GB and is priced at Rs.27,600 and Rs.32,800 respectively, expected to hit the Indian market in January 2014.

The specifications of the phone are high end, though the stand out feature is the 16 megapixel rear camera wit 1.34 microns along with an 8 megapixel camera on the front. It also includes add-ons like auto makeup effects, intelligent scene recognition function, action shot mode called the footprint mode and a meeting memo mode.In fact, Gionee is promoting the Elife E7  as a phone 'Made for Shooting'.

The Elife E7 sports a 5.5 inch 1080p display with 400ppi, Gorilla Glass 3 with just a 2.3mm bezel.

It will be available in 3G and 4G enabled variants, under the hood the 4G variant called the Elife E7L is powered by a 2.5Ghz quad-core SnapDragon 800 Soc and the 3G variant called the Elife E7 is powered by a 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 800, along with a Adreno 330 GPU in both variants. The 16 GB variant features a 2GB RAM while the 32GB variant has a 3GB RAM.

The Elife E7 will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and packs a 2500mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone will be available in multiple colour variants including black, white, blue, pink, green, yellow and orange.
