Karbonn has launched the Smart A11+ smartphone for Rs. 6,990 in India, boasting of a 4.7-inch display, dual-core processor and unfortunately, Android 4.0 ICS.

Karbonn Mobiles has quietly launched the Smart A11 in India. The smartphone has been launched for Rs 6,990 in India but is available at online retailers like Infibeam for Rs 5,799.

The Karbonn Smart A11 has decent specs for a device priced under the sub-Rs. 7,000 mark. It has a large 4.7-inch FWVGA capacitive touch display with 854 × 480 pixels display resolution. It has runs on outdated Android 4.0 ICS OS platform and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor. The budget device has 512MB of RAM, and 512MB of built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Smart A11 comes with a 3.2MP rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA front camera for video chat and self portrait. On the connectivity front the mobile offers GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB support. Other features included are FM radio, audio/video player, a 1450 mAh battery and G-sensor. The apps comes preloaded with popular apps like Google Maps, Gtalk, Google play store, TOI, Karbonn Live, Outlook Emails and Opera Mini browser. The Karbonn A11 smartphone is available in Black and White colors.

The Karbonn Smart A11 competes with devices under the sub-Rs. 7,000 segment like the Xolo A500S launched recently. The Xolo A500S offers better specs with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. It has a 4 inch display screen, a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and 720p video recording. It also has a VGA front snapper for video calling and self portrait. The Xolo A500S is available for Rs 6,999 in India.
