HIGHLIGHTS

The BlackBerry KEYone was unveiled just a few days ago and features a 4.5-inch touch screen and QWERTY keyboard.

The BlackBerry KEYone was announced a few days back, but the smartphone has already been listed on an Indian retailer's website. OnlyMobiles.com has listed the KEYone at Rs. 39,999, which is just over it’s official price of $549 (approx. Rs. 36,600). Previous reports had suggested that the device may not come to India. BlackBerry had signed a software and brand licensing deal with TCL Communications. The deal would see TCL become the exclusive global manufacturer and distributor for all BlackBerry branded smartphones. However, the deal did not cover India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

To recall, the BlackBerry KEYone features a 4.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution 1620 x 1080 pixels, while the QWERTY keyboard is located below it. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, with 3GB of RAM. The phone is equipped with a 3505mAh battery, with support for QuickCharge 3.0. There is also a ‘Boost’ mode that can charge the phone to 50% in about 36 minutes. The device runs Android Nougat v7.1, and offers 32GB of storage, which can be expanded by up to 2TB. At the back is a 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor, while at the front is an 8MP camera.
