Effectively, you can also get the phone at Rs 3,000 lesser if you use an ICICI debit or credit card to pay for the phone. Furthermore, Jio customers can avail up to 100GB of additional data and cashback vouchers worth Rs 2,200.

Flipkart is also offering its mobile protection plan that covers almost every aspect of the phone including display and water damage, at a discounted price of Rs 499 with the phone. There are no cost EMI options as well.

Should you buy the Asus Zenfone 5z?

In our review of the Zenfone 5z, we noted that the phone is quite a well-rounded device offered at a shockingly low price. There wasn’t any glaring faults on the surface and the hardware offered is top-notch (pun intended). The UI might take some time to get used to but the AI-enabled features aren’t so bad. It’s sufficiently fast to be considered an alternative to the OnePlus 6. However, the OnePlus 6 is a little more fast and fluid. It’s UI is a lot cleaner and the phone receives regular updates and a healthy support from the developer community along with reliable customer service. Asus doesn’t have a good track record of pushing out updates on time and the Zenfone series has not received a serious response from the developer community. Yet, the Zenfone 5z is a lot cheaper than the OnePlus 6 which starts from Rs 34,999 for the 6GB+64GB variant. The top 8GB+256GB variant will be available at Rs 2,000 more.
