Asus ZenFone 4 lineup will be unveiled in August: Report

Asus is expected to unveil its ZenFone 4 lineup on August 17. The lineup of devices includes the ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4V

According to information circulating the internet, Asus is expected to launch their ZenFone 4 lineup in Taiwan on August 17. The lineup is expected to include the ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4V. There is no information available about the specifications of these devices. 

Asus already launched the ZenFone 4 Max in Russia. The device is priced at 13,900 Ruble (approximately Rs 15,200). The Asus ZenFone 4 Max sport a dual 13MP rear camera setup with one normal lens and another supporting 120-degree field of view. There is also an 8MP front camera with the ability to shoot 140-degree selfie panorama shot. 

Coming to the other specifications of the ZenFone 4 Max, it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and runs ZenUI based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The USP of the smartphone is its huge 5000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 40 hours of talk time on 3G. There is no mention of Quick Charge support, but the device comes bundled with a 10W charger capable of fully charging the device in about 4 hours. 

Asus recently launched their Tango and Daydream View capable smartphone, the Asus ZenFone AR in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 49,999. The smartphone sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 821 Platform optimised for Tango applications. It offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card slot. Asus is also bundling its ZenEar S headphones to improve the overall audio experience of the smartphone. The smartphone has an 8MP front camera.

The USP of ZenFone AR, is the new TriCam system designed in collaboration with Google for augmented reality applications. The handset sports a standard 23MP optically stabilised rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and additional depth and motion sensors. The depth and motion sensors are used to understand real environment and allows users to augment virtual objects into real world. At the launch, Asus demonstrated such a feature with Renewate app that lets users place virtual furniture in real world. 

The ZenFone AR runs Android 7.0 Nougat layered with ZenUI 3.0. A 3300mAh battery powers the entire package.
