Asus teases dual camera setup on the ZenFone 4

Asus is expected to showcase its ZenFone 4 lineup on August 19 and the company has teased a dual camera setup for the smartphone

On its Facebook page, Asus has uploaded an image with the title, ZenFone 4. The image also showcases the phone with a dual-camera setup. The photo features spokesperson Gong Yoo holding the device. Asus is expected to launch its entire ZenFone 4 series in the Philippines on August 19. The Taiwanese company has started sending out invites for the event where it is expected to showcase the ZenFone 4 family. The company is expected to launch three variants of its flagship ZenFone 4 smartphone, along with ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Max and ZenFone 4 Selfie. 

The Asus ZenFone 4 Max is already available in Russia. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch display and sports a 5000mAh battery. The ZenFone 4 Max has a dual-rear camera setup with one normal lens and another supporting 120-degree wide field of view. The smartphone has an 8MP front camera with 140-degree selfie panorama shot.

Asus recently launched the ZenFone AR in India. The Asus ZenFone AR supports both Google Tango AR and Daydream VR platforms and is priced at Rs 49,999. The Asus ZenFone AR sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 821 platform optimised for Tango applications. It offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card slot. Asus is also bundling its ZenEar S headphones to improve the overall audio experience.

The USP of ZenFone AR, is the new TriCam system designed in collaboration with Google for augmented reality applications. The handset sports a standard 23MP optically stabilised rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and additional depth and motion sensors. The smartphone has an 8MP front camera. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat layered with ZenUI 3.0. A 3300mAh battery powers the entire package.
