Apple’s new iPhone SE launch pushed for next week, new MacBook Air coming soon as well
Mark Gurman expects Apple to drop the upcoming iPhone SE 4 by next week.
In addition to the mid-ranger by Apple, the M4 MacBook Air is also expected.
Apple will most likely opt for a press release announcement this time.
Apple analyst Mark Gurman had previously shared that Apple will most likely drop its iPhone SE 4 this week. However, there seems to be a delay in that. Gurman now expects Apple to drop the upcoming iPhone SE 4 by next week. In addition to the mid-ranger by Apple, the M4 MacBook Air is also expected soon. He took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share this news. For those unaware, the iPhone SE series is finally expected to get a successor after almost 5 years since the iPhone SE 3 dropped in 2020.
SurveyFor the launch of the iPhone SE 4, instead of a traditional spring event, Apple will most likely opt for a press release announcement this time. Gurman’s report suggests that product briefings are already scheduled, and an official reveal could happen soon. On Friday, Apple Vision Pro representatives are also expected to make an announcement, further adding to the company’s packed schedule.
Speaking of the iPhone SE 4, this time we can get to see a major design change, differentiating it from the previous model. The phone is expected to replicate the iPhone 14 in design with an all-screen display. The home button will also be removed this time and the phone will make way for Face ID. It is expected to feature Apple’s latest A17 Pro or A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, Apple Intelligence capabilities, a 48MP primary camera, and Apple’s first in-house Wi-Fi and 5G modems.
In addition to this, the M4 MacBook Air is also expected in the coming days. Gurman initially expected Apple to launch the new Air models in January, but fresh leaks suggest an announcement is imminent. Recent macOS 15.2 code has hinted at new MacBook Air models, and identifier numbers for the 13-inch and 15-inch M4 versions have surfaced online.
In addition to this, Apple is also rumored to be working on new AirTags and an upgraded iPad Air, possibly with an M3 or M4 chip. Whatever the next product is, we will keep you posted. So, stay tuned!
