Bezel-less iPhone may debut in 2027 to mark iPhone’s 20th anniversary.
Flip-style iPhone expected in 2028 with outer display and AI-powered shortcuts.
Apple is reportedly planning to launch three new iPhones in the upcoming years. According to a fresh leak from reliable Korean tipster Yeux1122 on Naver, the company is planning not one but three new iPhone designs over the next three years, starting in 2026. The lineup reportedly includes a foldable iPhone, a bezel-free model, and a flip-style clamshell phone. While Apple hasn’t confirmed any of it yet, the timeline sounds convincing given the company’s focus on next-gen flexible displays. If true, this would be the first iPhone redesign we’ve seen since the first model launched in 2007.
SurveyHere’s what we know.
Foldable iPhone launch in 2026
The first foldable iPhone might land in 2026. Leaks suggest the device will open sideways like a book, feature a 7.8-inch creaseless display, and pack dual rear cameras. Some reports even hint at under-display Face ID or Touch ID for a cleaner look.
This would make Apple the last major smartphone brand to join the foldable category, joining Samsung, Google, and Oppo. The phone could reportedly cost around $2,000, making it one of the priciest iPhones ever.
Bezel-less iPhone in 2027
In 2027, Apple might celebrate the iPhone’s 20th anniversary with a bezel-free model. As the name suggests, this one could ditch the frame entirely, with an OLED screen that curves around all four edges. Tipped to sport a sleek “flat candy bar” design, the phone would still include Face ID. Interestingly, Apple has reportedly been working on this since the iPhone 6 days, and it looks like Samsung Display has been developing the tech since 2023.

Finally, Apple is also rumoured to bring a flip-style iPhone. Unlike the book-style foldable, this one would fold vertically like a clamshell, with one outer screen for quick notifications and AI-powered shortcuts, and a main display inside. Although none of these details are officially confirmed, they should be taken with a pinch of salt.
