HIGHLIGHTS

The new iPhone seems to be inching closer to launch, with the latest leaks coming of an unboxed model of it.

The Apple iPhone 5se, or iPhone SE as recent rumours suggested, has been leaked in unboxed photos. The new leak shows the compact 4-inch device with 2.5D curved glass on top, and the name ‘iPhone 5se’ on the box. A recent leak had stated that Apple may be dropping the ‘5’ from the name of the new iPhone, calling it only ‘iPhone SE’, or Special Edition. This photo, however, shows it to be iPhone 5se, or iPhone 5s Enhanced.

The photo also confirms that the power button shall be placed to the right side of the phone, as against its placement on the top as on the iPhone 5s. Concept renders of the phone leaked a few days ago had confirmed the same. Apart from these, the iPhone 5se is expected to be powered by Apple’s latest generation A9 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and a 1650mAh battery pack. It is expected to feature a 12MP iSight camera and support for Live Photos. However, it will possibly not include 3D Touch capabilities.

Apple is expected to host an event on March 22, where it is expected to launch a smaller version of the iPad Pro, and iPad Air 3 and upgrades to the Apple Watch, alongside this iPhone.
