This phase usually allows the company and its manufacturing partners to evaluate assembly efficiency, component alignment, and yield rates before mass production begins. If correct, mass production might start later this year, allowing Apple to stick to its September release.

The Apple iPhone 18 Pro may get a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could get A20 Pro chips built on TSMC’s cutting-edge 2nm process. The device could get up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB storage. It can also get Apple’s in-house C2 modem. The device could also get a 5,200 mAh battery.
In terms of the camera, the device may get a rumored variable aperture for the main 48MP lens, allowing it to physically adjust light intake and provide natural, hardware-based bokeh effects similar to professional DSLR cameras.
