Apple is bringing the new iPhone 16 series on September 9 globally, as confirmed by the brand through an official invite. The new iPhones are just a few days away from hitting the market and the older iPhones are now getting cheaper. Apple hasn’t disclosed anything about the new iPhone 16 but rumours and leaks have revealed a lot. Let’s take a look at iPhone 16’s rumoured specifications and features first.
iPhone 16 rumoured specifications
First of all, the iPhone 16 is said to come with a small design change, which is the camera module. Rumours suggest that the new iPhone 16 will feature a vertical dual camera setup and a redesigned camera module for spatial video recording.
Moreover, it could feature a 6.1-inch 60Hz OLED display, just like last year, but wait… there is something that could be new. iPhone 16’s OLED panel might use micro-lens technology, which reduces the internal reflection and enhances brightness.
Another big rumour is that all new iPhones will be powered by the A18 chipset, meaning the iPhone 16 will skip the A17 chip and jump directly to the A18. While, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will miss out on Apple’s new AI tech, Apple Intelligence, the iPhone 16 will feature it out of the box. It is also expected to feature a bigger battery than the iPhone 15.
For photography, the iPhone 16 can see a major upgrade by having a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens this time.
Now, should you buy iPhone 15 right now or wait till September 9?
This is true that the iPhone 15 will get cheaper when the iPhone 16 launches. However, you will only get a good discount when the iPhone 16 rolls out. The second thing is that we can’t really compare the iPhone 15 with the iPhone 16 right now. Everything we know apart from Apple Intelligence is just leaks and rumours. So, I would suggest you wait till September 9 and then make a decision because then only, buying a new iPhone will make complete sense.
