Micromax Canvas Pep, quad-core dual-SIM phone launched at Rs 5999
Micromax Canvas Pep launched, features 4.5 inch display, dual-SIM and Android 4.4.
Micromax has launched the budget dual-SIM Canvas Pep smartphone for Rs. 5,999. The smartphone is available across online and retail stores in India.
The Micromax Canvas Pep has a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It has microSD expandable memory up to 32 GB. The smartphone has a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3 MP front camera.
Connectivity options included in the Micromax Canvas Pep are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS, micro-USB and Bluetooth. It is backed by a 1700mAh battery, that according to the company delivers up to 210 hours of standby time. The smartphone will be available in Pristine White and Mystic Blue colors.
Last week, Micromax announced that that it will be rolling out Android 5.0 update to Canvas Express A99 and other Canvas phones will follow soon. The company says that the update is being pushed OTA and Canvas Xpress users will receive a notification informing them about the update when they connect to the Internet.
The Micromax A99 Canvas Express was launched in December and features a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The smartphone has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB RAM. It has a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options included in the device are 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and integrated FM radio. It packs a 1950mAh battery. The Canvas Express A99 is priced at Rs 6,999.
