Lava launches Iris 350M and Iris 402e smartphones based on Android 4.2

Lava Iris 350M and Iris 402e are entry-level Android smartphones from the Indian manufacturer.

Lava has unveiled two new budget smartphones- the Lava Iris 350M and Lava Iris 402e. Both the smartphones features dual-SIM capacity, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and come with dual-core processors.

The Lava Iris 350M smartphone features 2G dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) and has a 3.5-inch HVGA display with 320×480 pixels resolution. It has a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM. It supports 32GB of expandable storage via microSD card support. The Iris 350M sports a 2MP rear camera along with LED flash and a VGA front camera for video calling. It is backed by a 1200mAh Li-Ion battery and is available in black and grey colours.

The Lava Iris 402e is a dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with standby support. It has a 4-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixels resolution. It runs Android 4.2 and has a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It comes with a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. It supports 512 MB ROM expandable up to 32GB via microSD card storage. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi with Hotspot and GPS. It packs a 1450mAh Li-Ion battery that according to company claims to deliver 9 hours and 40 minutes (2G) of talk time, and 200 hours of standby time. The Iris 402e will be launched in red, blue and grey colors.

The Lava Iris 402e was spotted on the company's official site though the price or launch date have not been mentioned. The Lava Iris 350M has been launched via an online retailer for Rs. 3,329.

Lava had also launched the budget Iris 300 style and the Lava 3G 412 a few weeks back via Homeshop18 for Rs. 3,199 and Rs. 4,399 respectively. Both the devices have entry level specs, including dual-core processors, 2MP rear camera and VGA front camera.  The devices run on Android 4.2.
