Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S3 suspended
HIGHLIGHTS

The Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been suspended by the smartphone maker due to issues plagued with the update

It has been two weeks since Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3, and now the company has suspended the update due to issues plaguing the smartphone after updating.

It seems that Samsung might have rushed the update in order to bring the Galaxy Gear support to the smartphone. Samsung launched the Galaxy Gear smartwatch with the Galaxy Note 3 and support for the watch on other Samsung devices was promised via an update.

Some of the major issues plaguing the smartphone include Wake up lag, random freezing, huge battery drain
, Bluetooth audio issues during playback in car, stuttering music playback with stock Samsung music app
, device freezes as soon a call is received (Black screen issue)
, Poor RAM management, Wi-Fi issues.

Samsung Mobile UK has released an official statement that reads, “As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.”

Currently Samsung Galaxy S3 users are still on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and haven’t seen the 4.2 update on the smartphone. Samsung wanted to bring the smartphone users up to 4.3 directly, but alas, this will take some more time to be executed completely.
