Amazon’s rumored 3D smartphone’s pics leaked
The upcoming 3D smartphone from Amazon looks a lot like the iPhone.
Pictures of Amazon’s much rumored 3D smartphone have been revealed. The smartphone features four cameras that are used to create a floating screen effect. It may be launched in September, the same time as Apple iPhone 6.
The latest set of images show that the smartphone looks a lot like Apple’s iPhone and Google Nexus handsets. The device may be unveiled in June and will use retina-tracking technology to make images on the smartphone’s display appear to ‘float above the screen like a hologram and appear three-dimensional at all angles.’
The pictures reveal a black device with glass front and back covers as well as a matte edge that could either be metal or plastic. According to BGR’s sources, the device will be comfortable to use inspite of its large size. BGR had revealed a few pictures of the Amazon’s smartphone last month but the design was hidden behind a protective case. Sources claim that this render was created by Amazon’s graphics designers.
According to reports, the smartphone will have a 4.7-inch 720p display. It will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM and feature Android with the customized Fire OS on top. The smartphone will house 6 separate cameras to create 3D images. It will have 3D gesture effects and according to BGR Amazon may also offer its own data plan called Prime Data. Rumors also suggest that Amazon might also followup with a low-cost variant with fewer fancy camera and 3D effects after the launch of the Premium device.
