The teaser image, however, does not reveal much, but a larger resolution version of it shows the traditional Xperia lock/power button. The edges of the device seem to be more rounded that the Xperia Z.

It’s not the first time Xperia i1 has made an appearance on the web. The last round of leaked images revealed the camera lens and LED flash with G-lens label and X placeholders for the camera specifications, including resolution and focal length.

The Sony Xperia Honami i1 is rumoured to come with a 5-inch full HD display, 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 with the Adreno 330 GPU, Android Jelly Bean (probably 4.2.2) and water and dust resistance. It is likely to have a 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage along with a microSD card slot.

For connectivity, the Xperia Honami supports Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi and GSM/UMTS/LTE networks.

So far, there’s no official word from Sony about the Honami. More details are expected to be revealed at the announcement event in Berlin on September 4. In the meanwhile, check out below the leaked teaser images:
