Alcatel has announced the launch of its Idol 4 smartphone in India. With Idol 4, Alcatel is entering into the expansive VR space and the smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
Alcatel Idol 4 features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The smartphone, first showcased at MWC 2016 is aided by 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. Alcatel Idol 4 is just 7.1mm thick and weighs 135 grams.

As far as camera is concerned, Alcatel Idol 4 offers a 13MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus along with 6 element lens. The image sensor has an aperture of f/2.0 and offers dual-LED flash. There is also an 8MP selfie camera with wide-viewing angle.
The main differentiators with Alcatel Idol 4 is the boom key and enhanced multimedia experience. The smartphone features dual stereo speakers with Hi-FI surround-sound support along with optimisation of audio presets. The device comes bundled with JBL earphones for a superior listening experience.
With Boom Key, users can put the camera in burst mode even when the device is in standby. It also enhances the audio while in any multimedia application. Alcatel Idol 4 comes in Gold, Dark Grey and Silver colour variants. It also comes with a VR headset powered by OneTouch VR Store. The Flipkart-exclusive device is priced at Rs 16,999.
